- Board Certified - REQUIRED
- State License – ND License is preferred - IMLC is okay.
- Residency Requirements/Fellowship - REQUIRED
- ACLS - REQUIRED at credentialing
- Must have experience with all required proceduresClean
- Malpractice/background - Required
Schedule –
- Shifts are 24 hour call
- February 14(8am) - Feb 19(8am) February 24(8am) - Feb 26(8am) on going dates will be available
- 8a-4p with evening call 4p-8a, and 24 hour call on the weekends
Duties
Required Procedures:
- Current list of procedures that our IR team performs:
- Diagnostic vascular intervention
- Angiography – venous and arterial
- Therapeutic vascular intervention
- Angioplasty – venous and arterial
- Stenting (venous and arterial)
- Thrombolytic therapy
- Emobolization therapy
- Interventional (body, non-neuro)
- Vascular access devices/PICCS
- Central lines
- Port a cath insertions
- IVC Filters
- TIPS
- Aspiration/drainage procedures
- Percutaneous Needle Biopsies (Above & Below diaphragm, and Bone)
- Extractions (Biliary & Renal)
- Abscess drainage
- Thoracentesis
- Paracentesis
- Myelopgraphy
- Pain management procedures
- Perc. Transhepatic Choleangiogram
- Blood patch
- Joint/epidural injections
- Vertebroplasty
- Arthrograms
- Chest tube insertion
- Uterine artery embolization
- Liver Y90/Tace
- Gastrostomy tube insertion
- Nephrostomy/ureteral stent insertion
- Renal fistulograms,
• Cryoablation
- Preferred but not required: Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy
EMR: Epic
Deal breakers: Client needs a provider with IR general experience. Stroke capability would be secondary but must be able to perform the list of general IR procedures first.
- Will the provider need to be willing to read diagnostics in between IR cases? No
- What is the avg # of procedures done in the 8 hr on-site day shift? Varies from 10-15
- How often should they expect call back during the weekday and weekend call shifts? Varies due to certain circumstances, normally only comes in for emergencies
