Details:
- Position Type: 1099/Locum Tenens
- Practice Setting: General Acute Care Hospital (Stroke Certified, not Chest Pain Center accredited, not a Trauma Level designation)
- Department: Breast Radiology
- Schedule Availability/ Requirement: Monday-Friday two weeks per month. Ideal
- schedule would be 1st and 3rd week of the month or 2nd and 4th week of the month
- Shift time: 8a-430pm with night call after 430p
- Certification Requirements: Board Certified/Board Eligible
- State License Requirements: CA Active license
- Additional license requirement: BLS/ACLS, DEA
- EMR: Cerner
- Admissions per day: 12-15
- Patients/day: ED Daily Volume is 85-90 patients/day, Average Daily Inpatient/Obs Census is 50 patients (includes ICU and OB).
- Types of cases: Surgical, Medical, ICU, and OB
- Based on review of the last several months of volume.
- Total: 50 studies/day + 5-8 procedures/day
- Breakdown of Daily Work
- CT’s: 15-20
- Xrays: 15-20
- US’s: 10
- MRI’s: 5
- IR: 5-8 procedures
Duties and Procedures:
- IR Procedures (Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy Tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, Chest Tubes, Suprapubic Catheters); CT/US Biopsies (Thyroid,
- Lung, Other), Barium studies, Lumbar punctures.
- Dealbreakers: Procedural Skills, Acute Care Imaging capability (Stroke CT's, ED and ICU imaging studies)
- Average Credentialing Timeframe : 60 days or less
- Logistic Reimbursement: Lodging, Car Rental/Mileage, Flight
- Coverage : DECEMBER 1-14 (ending 15th am)
