We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiologist in Atlanta, GA, where you will have the unique opportunity to care for an underserved and grateful veteran patient population. In this role, you will address critical access-to-care challenges that have historically impacted veterans’ healthcare, ensuring that our heroes receive the treatment they deserve.
Job Responsibilities
Reviewing Orders: Assessing the appropriateness and feasibility of interventional radiology orders.
Pre-Procedure Preparation: Preparing patients and ensuring all necessary protocols are followed before procedures.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrating knowledge and skill in a variety of image-guided procedures.
Post-Procedure Care: Providing appropriate post-procedure care and thorough documentation in the CPRS system.
Care Coordination: Collaborating effectively with the interventional radiology team, other medical center staff, and occasionally external providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Consultative Role: Conducting thorough reviews of patient charts and imaging records, and performing patient assessments that emphasize the role of imaging and radiology in overall patient management.
Procedure Proficiency: Maintaining competence in a range of interventional procedures, including but not limited to Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE), microwave ablations, renal cryoablations, suprapubic catheter placements, IVC filter placements, and peripheral stenting.
Qualifications
Any active Medical License in the USA
Must have ACLS/BLS
Must have DEA
