The Atlanta VA is seeking skilled Board-Certified Interventional Radiologists to join our team in providing exceptional care to our nation’s veterans. The ideal candidates will be fully credentialed and experienced in a wide range of interventional radiology procedures. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the veteran population at the VA with after-hours and on-call coverage, along with clinic coverage during standard hours as needed. Job Responsibilities

Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to:
Angiography, Chemoembolization, and Thrombolysis
Balloon angioplasty/stent placement
Cryoablation, Radiofrequency ablation, and TIPS placement
Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty and Embolization procedures
Biopsy and dialysis access procedures
IVC filter placement, biliary interventions, and endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins
Conduct patient consultations, develop treatment plans, and manage post-procedure care
Maintain accurate, timely patient records using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
Participate in peer review, quality improvement initiatives, and committee meetings to uphold clinical standards
Engage in continuous education, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Certification by the American College of Radiology (ACR) with secondary board certification in Interventional Radiology
Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
Active DEA certificate
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Proven ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment
Strong communication skills for patient and family education
Proficiency with electronic medical records and commitment to accurate documentation

Working Hours

Start Date: April 1, 2025
End Date: March 31, 2030
Duration: 5 years
Shift: 5/40 with potential on-call requirements

Working Environment:
You will work within the Atlanta VA Health Care System, providing care at their Decatur, GA, location. This is a full-time, 5 days per week position, with standard clinic hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Coverage includes after-hours, weekends, and government holidays on an on-call basis. On-call shifts are from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM during weekdays and 24-hour coverage on weekends.
