We are seeking a qualified Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) to join a team at a Level 1 trauma center. This role includes a combination of trauma-related and general cardiovascular care responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide call coverage for trauma-related cardiac injuries and general cardiovascular questions or admissions.
Assist in the operating room as a First Assist (OR FA) – further details pending.
Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) – additional information pending.
Additional Information:
The hospital’s Division of Pediatric General, Thoracic, and Minimally Invasive Surgery is staffed by three board-certified pediatric surgeons who treat patients ranging from premature infants to young adults (up to 21 years).
The PA will work alongside residents, fellows, and attending physicians and will participate in daytime clinic coverage as part of their role.
This is a supplemental position to support the existing team.
Requirements:
Active PA license
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
PA State license and DEA certification required
