Clinical Role:
Practice Setting: Hospital-based Breast Centers
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Average Number of Cases Per Day: Varies by site; higher number of Diagnostic Mammograms and procedures
Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
Number of Exam Rooms: 1-2
Number of Radiologists in Practice: 260; each breast center operates with 1-3 radiologists on-site depending on volume
Description of Support Staff: Mammography Techs, US Techs, Nurse Navigators
Patient Age Demographic: Women 35+
Board Certification Requirement: Board Certification or Board Eligibility required (ABR or AOBR)
Fellowship Training: Breast Fellowship Training preferred; experience in lieu of training will be considered
State License Requirement: Yes; ideally from a state with the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Agreement for faster WA licensure
Certification Requirement: BLS preferred
Procedures Required: Mammography, MRI - Breast, Breast Procedures
