Schedule: Office Monday-Thursday 8 AM - 4 PM; Friday 8 AM - 12 PM
Weekend Requirements: Yes, inpatient rounds with call
On-Call Requirements: Second call every other day during the week; first call every other weekend

Position Overview

Our Level 2 trauma center with 400 beds, is seeking a full-time locum Pulmonologist to provide both outpatient and inpatient pulmonary coverage. The provider must be comfortable seeing new patients in the outpatient clinic and assisting with pulmonary procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct admissions (hospitalists will admit pulmonary patients)
  • Provide care for adult inpatient non-ICU and outpatient pulmonary cases
  • Perform required evaluations and treatments, including:
    • COPD Treatment, Lung Masses, Pulmonary Nodules, Asthma, Interstitial Lung Disease, Pneumonia, Sarcoidosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Bronchiolitis, Pulmonary Vascular Disease
  • Conduct testing and procedures, such as:
    • Pulmonary Function Testing, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Bronchoscopic Intubations, Bronchoscopy, Interstitial and Granulomatous Lung Disease
  • Provider must be able to see both sleep and pulmonary patients and assist with procedures including EBUS, Bronchoscopy, and/or Super D

Support & Setting

  • Supervision: Yes, working with 5 APCs in the practice
  • EMR: Epic
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days

Requirements

  • Board Certified in Pulmonology (Sleep Medicine preferred)
  • Pulmonary Fellowship required
  • Active OH License preferred
  • ACLS & BLS required
  • Must have experience supervising advanced practice providers
