Job Description:

We are seeking a Pulmonary Hospital Office-Based Physician to join a growing hospital system in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position is exclusively outpatient and hospital consult-based, with no critical care responsibilities. The physician will provide expert pulmonary care to patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension.

As the hospital system expands, this is an excellent opportunity to establish and grow a dedicated pulmonary practice within a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outpatient pulmonary consultations and follow-up visits.
  • Provide pulmonary evaluations and management for hospital inpatients (consult-only, no ICU/critical care).
  • Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and other diagnostic studies.
  • Work closely with referring physicians, hospitalists, and respiratory therapists.
  • Participate in hospital system growth initiatives and pulmonary program development.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine (Critical Care certification is NOT required).
  • Active or eligible Florida medical license.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and growing healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $300,000 - $350,000 (depending on experience).
