Job Description
Our client is seeking a board-certified and fellowship-trained Pulmonologist to join our growing and dynamic team. They are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a thriving practice in a supportive and collaborative environment.
* Schedule: Mon - Fri, 4.5 days per week. No nights, no weekends. 100% Outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pulmonary care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory diseases.
- Conduct patient consultations, interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests (PFTs), chest x-rays, CT scans, and bronchoscopies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and current medical guidelines.
- Manage patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pneumonia, lung cancer, sleep apnea, and other respiratory disorders.
- Perform procedures including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), thoracentesis, and pleural biopsies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine through continuing medical education and professional development activities.
- Pediatric Sleep and Pediatric Asthma are an option, but not required
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
- Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pulmonary Disease
- Board certification in Pulmonary Disease
- Active and unrestricted medical license in NC
- DEA license
- Excellent clinical skills and judgment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
