Interventional Pulmonary/Critical Care opening in PA - Located in Bethlehem, PA - Full-time, permanent position Facility provides medical services in the general care and treatment of patients in both practice and hospital settings. Physician provides comprehensive medical services for patients on a continuing basis. Physician will provide high quality, cost effective medical care. This individual will also participate in quality, patient satisfaction and performance improvement initiatives. Position Details: - Performs history and physical examination of all patients seen. - Provide cost-effective, high-quality care based on best practice evidenced based medicine. - Make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines that have been approved by the medical staff. - Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range or treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated. - Provide regular, timely, and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients and their families. - Participates in education of patients and their families. - Evaluates and implements patient health care needs. - Performs routine exams and obtains patient histories. - Manages patient treatment program based on assessment of needs. - Initiates treatment via prescriptions, diagnostic tests, exams and procedures. - Reviews lab results and plans actions according to results. - Performs routine health maintenance activities for new and established patients. - Coordinates patient care and makes referrals to physicians, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, et cetera, as needed. Collaborates and communicates with other professionals, nurses, physicians, and outside agencies regarding patient care. - Coordinates patient care and family counseling with public and mental health agencies as appropriate.
