Job Summary

Flex Inpatient Pulmonary Position. Primarily weekends. Work available shifts when you wish!

Job Duties

Geisinger is seeking a Pulmonary physician for flex shifts at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and Geisinger Community Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Job Description:

  • Weekend shifts (typically 1/month) on inpatient consult service
  • 8:00 am-5:00 pm rounding on patients on the pulmonary consultation list
  • Plus phone call after hours for sick calls and from the Emergency Department; not frequent but must be within 30 minutes of the hospital
  • Typical cases: COPD, exacerbation, pneumonia, pleural effusion, respiratory failure, etc
  • Ability to do bronchoscopy and thoracentesis is required
