Job Duties

Join a national leader in healthcare innovation and technology as a Pulmonary physician at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Bare, and Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. This Pulmonary position is for a physician with a bronchoscopy background including EBUS.

At a Glance:

  • Enjoy a balance of outpatient Pulmonary practice, inpatient consultations, and procedures at these Level I and II trauma centers
  • 3 weeks of outpatient Pulmonary work at GWV
  • Inpatient service (7 days) dedicated to covering consultations on 1
  • Campus: either GWV or GCMC
  • Outpatient cases include lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, COPD, and asthma
  • Procedures done in endoscopy suite include EBUS, thoracentesis, and navigational bronchoscopy
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Be an instrumental part of teaching, scholarly activities, interdisciplinary programs, committees and research

Position Details

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV), located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., is an acute care hospital that is licensed for 274 beds, and houses the only Level I trauma center in Luzerne County. The campus includes the Frank W. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center, The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital, the Janet Weis Children's Hospital Pediatric Unit, a transplant program and the Brain & Spine Tumor Institute. Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre is GWV's ambulatory campus.
