St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking an experienced ICU Medical Director, Director of Pulmonary Medicine, or Pulmonary Medical Director to help lead our robust team of highly experienced providers. This position would require familiarity and work at both our inpatient ICUs – St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York.
Job Description:
- At least 1 year of work experience as ICU Medical Director, Director of Pulmonary Medicine, or Pulmonary Medical Director (not including residency/fellowship experiences)
- Board Certified in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine or Internal Medicine/Critical Care Medicine (NOT open to Surgical Critical Care providers)
- This position would require familiarity and work at both our inpatient ICUs – St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York and Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. Outpatient coverage would be located in Troy. Providers who have Sleep Medicine training and experience will work one day per week in the Sleep Center.
- The team at Pulmonary and Critical Care Services strive to provide a quality patient experience while offering the most current treatment options and services. Services include a full pulmonary function laboratory, spirometry, chest x-ray, ECG, oximetry, Endobronchial Ultrasound.
- The ICU Medical Director opportunity is 0.2 FTE administrative/ 0.8 FTE clinical
- Hospital-employed position
- Administrative responsibilities include workflow implementation, determination of quality metrics, handling of inquiries, quality case reviews, etc.- with direct reporting to the CMO
- Closed ICU
- This role is full-time with call rotation (night call 2-3 times per month, one of which will occur on a weekend).
- No overnights (24/7 Critical Care Coverage)
- Schedule is outlined as:
- 1 week per month ICU
- 1 week per month pulmonary consults
- Weekend coverage is 1 in every 4 or 5 weeks and predominantly at Samaritan Hospital
- 2 weeks per month in office (if certified in Sleep, one day per week will be in Sleep Center)
- Open to H-1B visa candidates, but cannot accept J-1 waivers
- Not accepting Locums candidates
