**Faculty Pulmonologist opening in Tyler, TX** Located 1.5 hours from Dallas, TX and 1.5 hours from Shreveport, LA **Position Details:** - Full-time, permanent - Faculty Pulmonologist w/ Cystic Fibrosis Certification to join our health system comprised of 10 hospitals and more than 70 physician clinics in Tyler, TX- 90 mi from Dallas. - Replace a retiring pulmonary physician who currently leads the adult cystic fibrosis program (incoming physician will transition into this role) - Those interested in practicing Pulmonary in addition to doing their CF duties are welcome to apply - Growing academic program with 60 Internal Medicine Residents and a new medical school opening in 2023 - Attend weekly clinic and consult on patients admitted to the hospital with CF. - Work with the CF care team to meet each patients individual needs. - Participate in the CF registry. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives. - Participate in research as part of the therapeutic development network. - Work with the center director and the CF coordinator on the yearly grant budget. - Attend the yearly North American cystic fibrosis conference. **Compensation and Benefits:** - Competitive income with attractive benefits package - Excellent physician schedule and lifestyle - Friendly work environment with established physicians - Advanced diagnostics and technology on site - Strong referral network - Vacation Days, Floating Holidays, University Holidays, CME Time, Sick Time - Reimbursement for TX Medical License Registration - Fee exempt status for DEA License Medical Liability Coverage: No tail coverage policy needed - Medical Liability Coverage: No tail coverage policy needed **Additional Information:** - The health system is comprised of 10 hospitals, more than 50 physician clinics, over 300 employed providers, 13 regional rehabilitation facilities, two freestanding emergency centers, regional home health services covering 41 counties, an EMS fleet of more than 45 ambulances and four helicopters, and a comprehensive seven-trauma center care network, including a Level 1 trauma center.
