Job Summary:

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time pulmonary/critical care physician to join an established practice. The ideal candidate would be trained or have experience working in a cardiovascular intensive care unit.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Prefer a minimum of 3+ years of Cardiac ICU and Pulmonary Medicine experience
  • Board-certified in pulmonary/critical care medicine
  • Comfortable leading clinical management in our new 10-bed CVICU & 26-bed dedicated Cardiac Specialty Unit (CSU) and caring for patients with advanced cardiac disease, including cardiogenic shock requiring the use of mechanical circulatory support (i.e., ECMO, IABP, Impella, etc.)
  • Lead multidisciplinary rounds for cardiac patients and participate in cardiac surgical rounds during CVICU/CSU call rotation cycle
  • Comfortable managing a variety of complex post-operative cases
  • Join a team of 5 pulmonary critical care physicians supported by 24/7 critical care nurse practitioners
  • Program supports 200+ open heart cases annually with plans to grow through expansion of CV surgeon provider complement
  • Program features 2 state-of-the-art interventional cardiology labs and 3 EP labs
  • Participate in teaching both residents and cardiology fellows
