What makes this position unique is the balanced work schedule.
1st week (Mon thru Sun) is shared daytime attending critical care service(only night call that week is 1 or 2 nights on the weekend) followed by Monday and Tuesday off.
2nd week of Office - typically follows critical care week with office Wednesday through Friday with one night call and the next day off.
3rd week is shared hospital consult service with many procedural opportunities. This rotation alternates between being attached to weekend floor rounds with Monday off vs entire weekend off.
Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows and Internal Medicine residents provide in-house floor and ICU coverage. You will have the privilege of working at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Campus, a 609-bed tertiary care facility, which is a Level I Trauma Center and the only academic medical center in the region. Our pulmonary program has been nationally ranked 4/5 years and high performing in pulmonary and COPD.
We offer a clinical position with a commitment to teaching and the potential for participation in clinical research in support of our Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship.
