Location: Lake County, Indiana (Less than 1 hour from Chicago)


Overview:

Healthcare United is seeking a dedicated Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join our expanding team and help meet the growing demand for pulmonary services near Dyer, Indiana. This full-time position offers a blend of outpatient and inpatient care, with an emphasis on clinic-based practice. Position Highlights:

  • Work Schedule:
    • 32 patient contact hours with 4 administrative hours.
    • Call Schedule:
      • Weekday call: 3-4 times per month.
      • Weekend & holiday call: 1:3 with Nurse Practitioner support.
    • Possible outreach to nearby locations.
  • Patient Care:
    • Mix of outpatient and inpatient care.
    • Average inpatient volume varies.
  • Procedures Required:
    • Arterial line, chest tube, central line, intubation, thoracentesis.
  • Technology:
    • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Facilities:
    • State-of-the-art settings with robust support staff.
    • Strong mentoring opportunities from seasoned physicians.

Requirements

  • Completion of US Residency Program.
  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
  • Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
  • Active or pending IN State License.
  • No malpractice history.
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, patient care-focused professional.
