Compensation: $450,000 - $515,000 annual salary, plus on-call compensation



Job Overview:

Healthcare United is actively recruiting a board-certified Critical Care Physician to join our team at a 5-bed ICU near Berlin, MD. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to patient-centered care and extensive experience in critical care settings. Dual board certification in both Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine is strongly preferred. This role involves daytime ICU coverage with evening backup responsibilities for our eICU providers.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients from 7 AM to 6 PM.
  • Serve as backup for eICU providers from 6 PM to 7 AM, with a flat call fee of $400/night.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a high standard of patient care and safety.
  • Maintain thorough documentation to comply with all regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.




Requirements



  • MD or DO with Board Certification in Critical Care (dual certification in Pulmonary Medicine preferred).
  • Active medical license in the state of Maryland.
  • Proven experience in critical care settings.
  • Exceptional clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-stakes environment and make sound, rapid decisions.
