Facility: A community hospital with a 238-bed capacity, offering a vast range of services, including critical care, ambulatory surgery, maternity, cancer care, women's health and behavioral health services.

Opportunity:
  • At least 1 year of work experience as ICU Medical Director, Director of Pulmonary Medicine, or Pulmonary Medical Director (not including residency/fellowship experiences)
  • Board Certified in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine or Internal Medicine/Critical Care Medicine (NOT open to Surgical Critical Care providers)
  • We are seeking an experienced ICU Medical Director to lead our team of dedicated critical care providers at two hospitals The successful candidate will oversee administrative duties while actively participating in clinical care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient services.
  • This role is full-time with call rotation (night call 2-3 times per month, one of which will occur on a weekend).
  • No overnights (24/7 Critical Care Coverage)
  • Schedule is outlined as:
    • 1 week per month ICU
    • 1 week per month pulmonary consults
    • Weekend coverage is 1 in every 4 or 5 weeks
    • 2 weeks per month in office (if certified in Sleep, one day per week will be in Sleep Center)
  • Work-life balance with a manageable administrative workload.
  • Allocate 0.40 FTE to administrative duties, including workflow implementation, quality metric determination, handling of inquiries, and conducting quality case reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to report on administrative matters and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Provide direct clinical care for 0.60 FTE in Pulmonary/Critical Care.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead quality improvement efforts and participate in performance reviews.
