Texas Children’s Hospital – Austin, seeks an experienced physician with a proven clinical track record to serve as an attending provider in the Pulmonary Medicine department in Austin Texas.
The Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin, Texas is seeking an exceptional provider to join our prestigious team for Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine.

Set to open in early 2024, our new state of the art full-service hospital in Austin will increase access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. Job Responsibilities
Provide contribution related to program growth, support quality and safety, drive and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and serve at a clinical physician capacity within the division.
Participate and contribute in the opening and growth of the facility.
Treatment of Critical Care patients in the PICU and NICU within our facility. Expect to manage neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, epilepsy monitoring, sleep studies among other methods of care.
Assist in leading and growth the program(s) of research and treatment of cutaneous complications of treatment.
Opportunity to be a founding physician at a new campus of Texas Children’ s Hospital and have the resources and support of the #1 ranked Children’s Hospital Pulmonology program and #2 Children’s Hospital network in the nation.
Participation in Academic support as the facility ramps up; mentorship and teaching opportunities with residents and fellows at the TCH affiliate; Baylor College of Medicine.
Opportunities to participate in academic research efforts related to Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine studies.
Qualifications
Be well versed in the setting(s) of NICU, PICU and Critical care. Also, the latest research and innovations as it relates to treatments of Pulmonary/Sleep panel.
Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired given TCH’s affiliation with Baylor. However, this is NOT required for this position.
The ideal candidate will have a history of participation in research and the featured author in Publications reflective of their specialty and focus.
The ideal candidate will have a pioneer-like spirit that is flexible and comfortable with the challenges of starting up a new facility and sleep lab.
Applicants must have an M.D., or D.O or equivalent degree, and be BC/BE Fellowship trained in Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine (if applicable).
Experience in Bronchoscopy (Preferred).
The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
