A healthcare system in Hartford County is currently seeking a Medical Director for a promising position with their Geriatric Psychiatry Department.
About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Hospital based
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Call: One weekend every 4-5 weeks
Responsibilities:
The Geriatric Psychiatry Medical Director will be responsible for:
- Providing education and leadership to all services in the unit
- Attending unit and hospital meetings
- Dealing with program issues and staff training
- Marketing the program
- Practicing clinically within the department
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted CT medical license
- Fellowship trained in Geriatric Psychiatry
- Board Eligible / Certified in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry (MD/DO)
