Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist - Los Angeles, CA


Los Angeles General Medical Center is the cornerstone of the safety-net for the largest county in the United States. As one of the largest public hospitals in the US, we are home to one of the largest GME training centers in the US, with more than 950 residents and fellows, representing nearly 1% of all post graduate trainees in the US.

The Department of Psychiatry at Los Angeles General Medical Center is seeking clinical faculty to join the team. There are immediate needs for Emergency Department, Consultation and Liaison services and welcome those with subspecialty interests. In addition to clinical services, these physicians will be involved in trainee education, clinical research, and improving the delivery of care. There are excellent opportunities to make an impact by serving the LA population and develop a robust academic career.


Reporting Relationship: Will report to Service Chief of Psychiatry

Annual Pay Range: $230,995 – $309,698

Position Requirements:
• Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree.
• Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
• Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
• Candidates must have completed a residency.
• Desire for a rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology.
• CL trained is preferrable and will providing consultation services with Rancho Los Amigos onsite and remote
• Passion for providing high quality clinical patient care to an underserved population.
• Passion to teach and work with fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality initiatives, and hospital committees
• Expertise in traumatic brain injury and medical morbidities a bonus
