Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert care to patients experiencing mental health disorders, offering both therapeutic and medical interventions. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of psychiatric conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive mental health care.

Practice Details

  • Outpatient only practice
  • Office hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose mental health disorders through clinical evaluations, interviews, and patient histories.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Prescribe and manage medications to treat psychiatric conditions.
  • Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatry to deliver state-of-the-art care.
  • Participate in staff training, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Texas.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, and psychopharmacology.
  • Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Subspecialty training or certification in areas such as child and adolescent psychiatry.

License/Certification:

  • Medical License (Required)
