Locum Tenens Child Psychiatrist Job in Maryland

Position Overview:Join a highly respected Maryland psychiatric facility with 23 years in the industry, serving pediatric and adolescent patients aged 3-18 (average age: 9-10). This facility, supported by over 250 pediatric and family medicine providers, needs a compassionate Child Psychiatrist for 25 hours per week starting late December/early January. Work alongside two full-time psychiatrists and two nurse practitioners to make a meaningful impact on young lives in the community.

Details/Requirements:
--Part-time (25 hours/week), flexible scheduling available
--Patient load: Medicaid and private patients, ages 3-18
--Consultation times: 45 minutes to 1 hour for initial evaluations; 30 minutes for medication checks
--Facility Hours: 8AM - 7PM with weekend telehealth options
--EMR System: Icanotes
--Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
--Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
--Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders
--Complete buprenorphine training to maintain a waiver for suboxone prescriptions
--Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry (Board Certified preferred)
--Active Maryland license, DEA registration, and Medicare enrollment
--Waiver for prescribing suboxone required
