Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - San Jose, CA, And Berkeley, CA, US

Shifts - Days

Job Summary:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, psychologists, LMFTs/LCSWs, associates and trainees to address mental health needs in children, adolescents, and young adults 29 and younger as well as their families

  • Provide care to patients in the outpatient clinic and intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation and management visits along with individual and family therapy, especially when those therapies are indicated to be best provided by a psychiatrist.

  • Provide psychiatric oversight of the clinical team and perform evaluation and management visits along with psychotherapy in the IOPs and PHPs. LCSWs/LMFTs generally provide the individual, group, and family therapy in the IOPs and PHPs.

Certifications and Requirements:

  • Active medical license in the State of California as an MD or DO and valid NPI and DEA certificate

  • Board certified/board eligible in psychiatry and/or child and adolescent psychiatry

  • Must complete credentialing/contracting with insurance companies prior to starting

  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation in a timely manner

  • Need to be Onsite in San Jose Clinic
