OPEN DATES:
- Asap -Ongoing Full-time or Part-time
- 8 am - 5pm M-F or 40 hrs a week open to PT as well
- Psychiatric Provider is responsible is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management prescriptive services, mental health assessments (for medication-only clients), referrals for clients for mental health care and mental health education, and coordination of services with other psychiatric prescribers.
- Active Oregon and Washington License (Psychiatrist) ; active DEA certificate: Board Certified
- High level of cultural sensitivity with knowledge of Native cultures.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Knowledge and experience with Oregon tribes and ability to work with the Native community.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of mental health and addiction disorders.
- Ability to work flexibly as a part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team.
- Motivational interviewing skills and ability to engage clients and staff at varying stages of commitment to change
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.
- Work collaboratively with clients, other NARA staff, team members, and to always treat everyone with respect and dignity.
- Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
- Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks.
