Reading Hospital is seeking a BE/BC Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at Reading Hospital. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to engage in outpatient care, consultative services, or a combination of both. Consultations will primarily be conducted at Reading Hospital, providing you with a diverse and rewarding clinical experience.

Job Summary:

  • Engage in outpatient psychiatric care, providing comprehensive assessments and evidence-based treatments to patients.
  • Conduct consultative services at Reading Hospital, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address complex psychiatric needs.
  • Teach and mentor Psychiatry residents and medical students as part of our Psychiatry residency program, which welcomed its inaugural class in 2022.
  • Join a supportive and collaborative environment dedicated to fostering professional growth and development.

Additional Psychiatric services offered by Tower Health’s Reading Hospital and Tower Behavioral Health include: a medical complexity unit, a dedicated C/L service, extensive outpatient services throughout Berks County, including partial hospitalization and an Assertive Community Treatment Program. Other services include Medication Assisted Treatment, Behavioral Medicine Pain Management, and a Senior Assessment Program.

Qualifications

MD, DO, or equivalent foreign degree
Completion of ACMGE accredited psychiatry residency or fellowship program
Candidates must be BE/BC in Psychiatry 
Candidates coming out of training encouraged to apply!
A valid PA Medical License or the ability to obtain one is required
