Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care in a correctional setting. This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering psychiatric assessments, medication management, and crisis intervention to an underserved population.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage medications
Collaborate with mental health and medical staff
Participate in crisis response and on-call rotation
Conduct forensic evaluations and support legal processes
Maintain accurate EMR documentation
Qualifications:
MD or DO from accredited medical school
Completion of psychiatric residency (U.S.-based)
Active NJ medical license, DEA, and CDS certification
Correctional or forensic experience preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
CPR certified
