Job Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult inpatients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Conduct daily rounds and monitor patient progress
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and care conferences
  • Provide crisis intervention and management as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Sunrise Clinical Manager EMR
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
  • Provide consultation to other healthcare providers as needed
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments in psychiatry
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges as appropriate


Additional Information:


  • New York medical license required
  • Board certification in Psychiatry required
  • Experience in inpatient adult psychiatry essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
