Do all of them need to be same specialty? 3 references required, 1 must be from most recent placement, all psychiatry Other Comments/Additional info: -Providers with recent experience providing IP care (within the past 5 years) is highly preferred. -Experience with IP care within the past 10 years minimum
Though Length of stay tends to be on the longer side, the department does turnover some patients quickly; many with psychotic symptoms, co-morbid substance use, and other medical problems. -Majority are involuntary so some legal paperwork will be required but most of the court obligations are taken care of by the enterprise's court team that will also guide you. -The EMR can be challenging unless comfortable with EMR’s. -Case load of 10 = full day, no exceptions for number of admissions/discharges (opportunity to discuss).
There is no coverage responsibilities, evening, weekend, or night calls unless requested as we have coverage for these times of day. -Admitting patients will be rare as most admissions will be done by the evening/night or weekend staff, and no admissions after 3pm. -There will be a lead nurse and the same social worker (unless on vacation or out ill) with your team that meet with you daily to review all patients. You will be introduced to the unit and team gradually with the support of Department Chair to shoulder until autonomous in both patient care and the EMR. -If not joining the teaching service, residents will be available to help troubleshoot EMR challenges or other operational questions as they arise.
