HCO: Outpatient clinic. A nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of services designed to support individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges, and other life-altering circumstances. Located in the Hudson Valley region of New York, the organization offers programs such as residential services, day programs, behavioral health services, and community-based support. Their goal is to empower individuals to live independently, engage meaningfully in their communities, and achieve their personal goals.
Opportunity: Senior Psychiatrist
* Full time, employed opportunity
* Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (regular business hours), onsite
* Minimum of 4 years of post-residency experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, preferably in an outpatient setting- Required
* NY license, DEA. BC
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
• Serving as the lead physician for designated service lines, fostering improvements in workflows and care quality.
• Supervising assigned psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Conducting peer reviews and participating in the preceptorship of Psychiatry Residents and Nurse Practitioner students.
• Reviewing incident reports, medical policies and collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to meet regulatory standards and enhance quality outcomes.
• Assisting in preparation for regulatory site surveys alongside Behavioral Health Leadership.
• Offering expert consultation to the team on complex cases in collaboration with site directors.
• Advocating for the expansion of Medication Assisted Treatment across clinical sites.
• Engaging in scheduled practice management and behavioral health leadership meetings.
• Being available to review and sign treatment plans, including therapy-only cases. Attend behavioral health leadership meetings (including some in-person).
• Collaborating with Behavioral Health site directors and nursing leadership to develop workflows that enhance patient outcomes, safety, and quality of care.
Compensation: $300,000 - $310,000 per year
