Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in Harlem, New York City

Position Highlights:
--Schedule: 9AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday working 1 day a week remote
--Services required: In-person consultations, evaluations, and medication management
--Suboxone Waiver required
--Patient Load: 12-14 follow-ups or 4-6 initial psychiatric evaluations per day
--Setting: On-site at an FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center)
--Population Served: Youth (13+) and adults with mental illness, including individuals with past or current involvement in the criminal justice system

Key Responsibilities:
--Conduct psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and consultations
--Prescribe, monitor, and administer psychotropic medications
--Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders
--Complete buprenorphine training and maintain waiver for suboxone prescription

Requirements:
--Active New York State license, DEA registration, and Medicare enrollment
--Waiver for prescribing suboxone
--Previous experience with psychiatric care and substance use treatment is a plus
