About the Role

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality behavioral health care to our community. As a Psychiatrist at BACHC, you will play a crucial role in delivering psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to our diverse patient population. Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health and/or Chief Medical Officer, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals through outpatient psychiatric care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide expert diagnoses
✅ Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including therapy and medication management
✅ Lead individual and group psychotherapy sessions
✅ Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and community agencies
✅ Educate and engage with patients' families regarding mental health conditions and treatment
✅ Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
✅ Contribute to the development of psychiatric programs and policies
✅ Stay up to date with Federal and State health care regulations in a community health setting
✅ Participate in provider meetings, care team huddles, and quality improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

🎓 Education & Certification
✔ Graduate from an accredited medical school
Valid California Medical License & DEA license
✔ Completion of an approved four-year psychiatry residency
CPR Certification

💡 Skills & Experience
✔ Passion for serving underserved communities, including the homeless population
✔ Experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) preferred
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Ability to design and optimize psychiatric care in a community health setting
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
