Psychiatrist
A Psychiatrist is needed in Akron, OH.
Titan Placement Group invites you to explore an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatrist in Akron, OH. This role is with a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been providing comprehensive behavioral health and primary care services to the Summit County community for over 35 years. The organization is known for pioneering mental health court processes and CIT training, making a significant impact on public health. They are willing to consider remote candidates, and new graduates may be eligible for a hybrid schedule.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: $280,000+
- Sign-on bonus available

Responsibilities
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (no evenings, no weekends)
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care for severely mentally ill adults
- Lead interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Collaborate with primary care providers, nurses, case managers, and support staff
- Conduct assessments of mental health conditions using appropriate screening tools
- Utilize Credible EMR system for documentation
- Support and participate in community mental health initiatives
- Attend medical staff meetings twice per month
- Opportunity to supervise residents and advanced practice nurses (after 1-2 years of experience with the organization)
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
- Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio
- Experience in adult psychiatry preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Hybrid schedule available for new graduates, fully remote option considered for experienced providers
- Strong commitment to serving vulnerable and underserved populations
