Rates: $290/hr
Position Overview
This facility is seeking a Locum Psychiatrist to provide PRN "as-needed" coverage in Davenport, Iowa. This position involves inpatient psychiatric care, hospital consults, and ER consults. Telehealth is not an option.

Schedule: PRN. Coverage dates will only be confirmed once credentialing is 90% complete to avoid cancellations.

Setting:

Inpatient Psychiatry: Adult and adolescent units.

Call Requirements: Call duties are mandatory.

Supervise APPs.
-
Total Beds: 18 adult beds, 5 adolescent beds.

Patient Volume: Average of 5–12 patients per day.

EMR System: Cerner.
-
Referral Protocol: Transfers to the University of Iowa (40 minutes by car).

Trauma Level: III.
-
Safety/Security: On-site security is available at each campus.

Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days.
Treatment Requirements
Must be experienced in managing the following conditions:

Anxiety Disorders.
-
Affective Disorders.
-
ADD/ADHD.
-
Personality Disorders.
-
Eating Disorders.
-
Developmental Disorders.
-
Psychotic Disorders.
-
Organic Disorders.
Familiarity with the following treatments is required:

Family Therapy.
-
Group Therapy.
-
Pharmacotherapy.
-
Seclusion Therapy.
-
Restraint Application.
-
Voluntary Commitments.
-
Emergency Room Consultations.
Requirements
-
Certification: Board Certified in Psychiatry (BE not accepted).

Licensure: Iowa license or IMLC - REQUIRED.

Experience:
-
Inpatient psychiatry experience - REQUIRED.
-
Must treat patients aged 6 and older.
-
2+ years of inpatient psych experience - highly preferred.
