Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital seeking BC Psychiatrist for call coverage:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for 24-hour call coverage for a 2-week rotation each month, with flexibility depending on weekend call schedules. As part of a collaborative team, you will work alongside a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to manage the psychiatric care of adult patients.

24-hour call coverage, 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with potential adjustments based on weekend call schedule rotation (e.g., 12 or 14 days depending on the rotation).

Total coverage required: 2 weeks per month.

•Ability to manage psychiatric emergencies and overnight call responsibilities, including restraint orders and emergency medication management.

•Experience in inpatient psychiatric care for adults.

•Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Cerner.

•Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Credentialing Timeframe: Full Privileges 60-90 days but temps in 2-3 weeks

Qualifications

Board Certification: Psychiatry
State License: Valid PA medical license
DEA
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant psychiatric experience

Working Hours

8a - 8a
