We have partnered with Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. to locate a Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Southwestern is a community-based provider of mental health and addiction services. Located in Evansville, IN, Southwestern has 15 service locations in the four-county region.
The CMO will oversee staff Physicians and Nurse Practitioners and report to the President/CEO. This position will be strategically aligned in the community to maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals and continually seek ways to provide the best care and access for patients.
Clinical responsibilities include:
• Maintaining an active psychiatric practice
• Providing coverage at outpatient locations as appropriate
• Serve on a rotation to provide after hours on call services for residential program needs and outpatient emergency psychiatric needs via telephone consultation availability
• Maintain relationship with Indiana University Medical School and develop training programs for medical students, residents and fellowships
Requirements:
• Board certification in psychiatry
• Possess or ability to obtain Indiana Medical Licensure and DEA
• Strong clinical and leadership capability
• Eligibility for APA membership
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills required
