Medical Director of Psychiatry - Permanent Job in New York City

Position Highlights:
--Position Type: Permanent
--Salary Range: $155,000 – $212,000 (commensurate with experience)
--Shift/Hours: Minimum 3 days per week, 8-hour shifts (negotiable hybrid schedule)
--Work Environment: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving youth and adults with mental illness, including those involved in the criminal justice system

Key Responsibilities:
--Supervise and mentor psychiatric providers (psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners)
--Oversee the implementation of buprenorphine/naloxone prescribing protocols
--Dedicate at least 70% of your time to direct patient care, conducting psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and consultations
--Work closely with senior leadership to support high-quality psychiatric care

Requirements:
--Board Certification in Psychiatry (required)
--Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with serious mental illness
--Proven leadership and supervisory experience preferred
