**Inpatient Adult Psychiatry Opening in Mesa, AZ** **About the Opening** - Location: Mesa, AZ - Full-time, permanent - Seeking an inpatient Attending Psychiatrist for our adult inpatient program - The ideal candidate must enjoy working with hospitalized, seriously mentally ill patients - Caseload is 9-10 patients, with an average length of stay of 22 days - Most patients are involuntary. - This position includes faculty appointment (for eligible candidates) - Duties include collaboration with a psychiatric nurse practitioner and teaching of rotating medical students - This is a full-time position with all benefits, including four weeks of paid time off, one week of CME (with an annual CME allowance of $4,000), ten paid holidays, retirement plan and employer paid malpractice coverage. - Candidates must be Board certified or in the process of Board certification and must possess an Arizona medical license prior to beginning employment. **Additional Information:** - The medical group has 3 inpatient psychiatric hospitals. 2 of which are teaching facilities for Psychiatry residents - these hospitals are staffed with psychiatrists and residents (no APPs). The 3rd facility has medical students - it is staffed with ~50% Psychiatrists 50% APPs. - Candidates must have an M.
