Hi there! This is Jason from ProTouch Medical.

We are in search of a Locum Psychiatrist for Eastern Iowa, near the Illinois border. The ideal Candidate will be Board-Certified Psychiatry, comfortable with inpatient psychiatry, and available from January - early July.


Job Type: Locum

Shifts:
7-on / 7-off : Monday-Sunday

Job Description:

  • Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults -- NOT OPEN TO TELEHEALTH
  • Will supervise APP
  • Will take Call
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 5-12
  • Total Number of Beds: 18 adults, 5 adolescents
  • How Many Psychiatrists in Your Group: 1 part-time inpatient right now
  • How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group: 2
  • How Many Psychologists: Zero, inpatient
  • Documentation System / EMR: Cerner
  • Trauma Level/Designation III
  • Referral/Transfer Protocol: University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car
  • Safety/Security Measures in Place: security on each campus
  • Not accepting visa candidates

Work setting:

  • Onsite
  • Inpatient
  • Private practice

Requirements:

  • Board Certified Psychiatry
  • Iowa license or IMLC

  • Psychotic Disorders
