Schedule:
- PATU has a need for 1 provider every Saturday and Sunday from 8a-5p.
- PYTU has a need for coverage Wednesdays - Sundays from 8a-5p typically.
- PSU (Psychiatric Stabilization Unit) scheduled NP provides assessment in our emergency department and when staffed (nursing) observation of patients for up to 24 hours.
- Our need for a Psychiatric NP for PSU coverage is Friday nights 7p-7a, Sunday days 7a-7p and Monday nights from 7p-7a.
- Practice Setting: Inpatient
- Coverage Type: Call Only
- EMR System: Cerner
- Patients Per Shift: Variable
- Inpatient unit = 29 beds
- Rounding: Both
- Voalte (secure internal paging system) is used for communication.
- On PATU (Adult) the range of patients can be 5-7 patients throughout the course of the day.
- Patients presenting in the ED are admitted by our department scheduled NP.
- Direct Transfers are admissions for the attendings on PATU.
- Locums are not on call during non-business hours covering scheduled assigned shifts only.
- PATU treats age 18 and up.
- PYTU (Youth) admits patients aged 5-17.
- PYTU is covered by a board-certified CAP.
- We are in need of coverage for PATU and PYTU.
- PATU has a need for 1 provider every Saturday and Sunday from 8a-5p.
- PYTU has a need for coverage Wednesdays - Sundays from 8a-5p typically.
- PSU (Psychiatric Stabilization Unit) scheduled NP provides assessment in our emergency department and when staffed (nursing) observation of patients for up to 24 hours.
- Our need for a Psychiatric NP for PSU coverage is Friday nights 7p-7a, Sunday days 7a-7p and Monday nights from 7p-7a.
- In addition, the number of patients seen on PATU by each provider is a range of 10-15 patients per shift.
- On PYTU by each provider a range of 8 - 12 patients is typical.
