Pediatric Psychologist Opening in Johnson City, TN Full-time, permanent position Hospital employed Work with Pedatric Sub-Specialty Practice. Primary clinical responsibilities in the ambulatory clinics of pediatric endocrinology, gastroenterology, and neurology will include the following: * Conduct evidence-based brief assessment and intervention services in accordance with the primary care behavioral health (PCBH) model of integrated care. * Serve as a consultant to multidisciplinary team members to support decision-making and provision of care to patients with comorbid medical, emotional, or behavioral concerns. * Provide medical inpatient consultation-liaison services for patients admitted to Niswonger Children's Hospital. * Facilitate referrals to community-based programs and services, as needed. * Complete clinical documentation within an electronic medical record system in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards of care. A secondary focus of this position is program development and evaluation. Responsibilities will include the following: * Provide training and education about integrated behavioral health care to physicians, nurses, patient service representatives, medical students, residents, and others. * Assist in development and implementation of clinical pathways for accessibility and utilization of integrated behavioral health services by all providers and subspecialities. * Participate in program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects. Education Required: Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD) or Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from an APA accredited institution. Completion of a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in child or pediatric psychology.
