Our client is a long-standing non-profit behavioral health organization that focuses on patients first, providing a full scope of behavioral health services to all ages in outpatient, inpatient, and crisis stabilization settings.

The Position: A Psychiatrist is needed for the role of Medical Director at our Client’s Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation Program. This position is open to experienced Psychiatrists as well as new graduates who have completed their residency. Prior Director experience is not required. Must be Board Eligible.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary Range (Depending on Experience) $160,000 to $235,000

• Full Support Staff: On the medical team you will be working with a Senior Director, a Staff Psychiatrist, 5 PMHNPs, a Nurse Manager, an RN, and two admin staff.
• CME paid and paid time off (40 hours per year)

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Adult Outpatient medical team (10 staff members)
• Collaborates with Senior Director
• Provides direct Psychiatric services, role is split between 50% clinical and 50% non-clinical duties (consulting, supervision, program development, etc.)
• Average patients per day: 4 to 5
• Collaborate with leadership in Adult Outpatient Services Program and other Agency programs to ensure continuity of care
• Routinely monitoring data with regards to consumer services, budgeting and state reporting needs and/or requirements and alerting the Sr. Director of any concerns
• Will primarily be at Adult Outpatient Services clinic with minimal travel to neighboring Emergency Services clinic (ten minutes driving time) and rural services clinic in Louisa (40 minutes away).
• EMR System is Credible

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
• Active Virginia Medical License
• Must have completed residency. Candidates in fellowship training will be considered.
• Ability to provide leadership, collaboration with other mental health professionals, provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment, interpret agency policies accurately and diplomatically.
