Compensation: $257,000 – $273,000/year

Responsibilities as the Director of Psychiatry:
- Clinical Evaluations & Crisis Intervention: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage patient care, and provide emergency interventions for walk-in patients in crisis.
- Medical History Review: Review and update medical history data.
- Supervision & Consultation: Supervise Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, provide peer reviews, and offer clinical consultations to providers across various areas.
- Liaison Duties: Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison with referral hospitals and Health Homes programs.
- Policy & Administrative Oversight: Review and update medical policies related to behavioral health, coordinate program needs, oversee quality, and liaise with the VP of Behavioral Health.
- Ethics Committee & Service Facilitation: Chair the Ethics Committee, facilitate related services for patients and staff, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with performance evaluations, employee health services, and new employee orientation.
- Licensing: Current New York City license to practice Medicine and Psychiatry.
- Education: Medical degree from an approved Medical School with completed residency training.
- Experience: 5+ years post-training clinical experience (medical leadership experience preferred).
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.
- Hospital Privileges: Ability to obtain hospital admitting privileges.
