You Belong Here.

At MultiCare, we strive to offer a true sense of belonging for all our employees. Across our health care network, you will find a dynamic range of meaningful careers, opportunities for growth, safe workplaces, and flexible schedules. We are connected by our mission - partnering and healing for a healthy future - and dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

The Opportunity: MultiCare is seeking candidates to participate in the development and deployment of an innovative hub-and-spoke consultation model and teaching service. We are deploying a central hub of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry team members to provide consult services through onsite, telepsychiatry and telephonic interventions. The use of the hub-and-spoke delivery design sets the stage for MultiCare to cast a vital behavioral health lifeline to our network of hospitals.

This 1.0 FTE (Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, no afterhours or weekend call) combined consult liaison psychiatrist & faculty role will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide service to 5 locations in the MultiCare Puget Sound region. The goal is to offer a collaborative work environment while serving a broad variety of patients in various inpatient and emergency department settings. The qualified candidate would lead the care team in providing psychiatric consultation-liaison services for patients in the acute care setting and emergency departments through assessments, diagnostics, consultations, and treatment recommendations. There will also be teaching opportunities and protected time provided for faculty duties related to teaching psychiatry residents in a new psychiatry residency training program.

Additional Requirements:
–Completion of ACGME or AOA accredited adult psychiatry residency
–Current ABPN board certification in psychiatry
–Completion of ACGME accredited consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship is a plus
