A Boston, Massachusetts, community health center that cares for more than 34,000 patients annually has an opening for a Psychiatrist. The center is a non-profit healthcare organization serving the community for nearly 30 years.


About the Opportunity:

  • Option for either part-time or full-time.
  • Duties include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric conditions; issuing prescriptions and maintenance for clients on psychotropic medication; assuming leadership in case conferences and in-service staff training; and actively participating in peer review and Utilization Review (UR).
  • The psychiatrist coordinates and assists with overseeing psychiatric services with Harbor Health?s behavioral health director across all of Harbor?s community health centers in Boston, Plymouth, and Hyannis and provides direct services to patients.
  • Support the Behavioral Health Director with input and review of behavioral health-related policies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners in consultation and peer review.
  • Candidate should be board-certified in Psychiatry with experience in addiction medicine, integrated health care teams, and an interest in Community Health populations.
  • Salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance and 403b Savings. Other benefits include malpractice insurance, $2500 for CME, reimbursement for renewal costs of license, and loan repayment.
