Details: Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program promotes engagement in services for individuals with a history of multiple hospitalizations or harm to self or others due to non-adherence to treatment. It does this through monitoring the adherence of both the individual and their provider(s) to a civil court ordered care coordination/treatment plan. Psychiatrists work under the direction of a borough AOT medical director as part of a multidisciplinary team. The available position is on the Bronx AOT Team but is based in Long Island City, Queens. Duties include reviewing records and examining individuals to determine need for initial or ongoing AOT, documenting examinations, and testifying in court as well as serving as a consultant to non-medical team members. Some court hearings are currently held in person at Bronx supreme court and some are remote. Examinations are currently held remotely. A hybrid remote schedule is available. Full licensure in New York State is required. Board certification is strongly preferred. Forensic training is a plus.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
