Psychiatrist Opportunity in Greenville, NC

We are seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as the Medical Director for the Center for Telepsychiatry and E-Behavioral Health in Greenville, NC.

The role involves serving as the Chief Clinical Officer for the Center for Telepsychiatry and E-Behavioral Health (CTeBH) and the NC-STeP program, which currently provides services to 29 hospitals and 22 community-based clinics across North Carolina.

Position Highlights:

  • Hospital privileges at a 974-bed academic medical center
  • Fixed-term clinical faculty appointment available at the title/rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, depending on qualifications

As a Psychiatrist in this role, you will:

  • Serve as Chief Clinical Officer for the Center for Telepsychiatry and E-Behavioral Health (CTeBH) and the NC-STeP program
  • Oversee the development and expansion of telepsychiatry services
  • Provide clinical services via telepsychiatry (60% of the time)
  • Develop and implement initiatives to expand the program footprint
  • Supervise and support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Oversee an outcomes monitoring system to improve patient outcomes
  • Manage and oversee a peer-review program
  • Identify and implement evidence-based practices
  • Collaborate with faculty members and recruit diverse faculty for the core leadership team
  • Engage in clinical, educational, and scholarly activities
  • Report to the Executive Dean and work closely with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • Valid medical license to practice in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Demonstrated track record in telepsychiatry and psychiatric administration
  • Strong leadership and administrative skills
  • Experience in clinical supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, and other health professional trainees
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
