Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide short term/locum psychiatry coverage at a facility in Iowa City Iowa.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct professional routine and emergency examinations on patients.
• Provide in-patient psychiatric treatment to patients
• Make recommendations for the treatment of behavioral or psychiatric disorder.
• Make electronic entries in patient medical record.
• Comply with all applicable Federal Regulations, as well as Department and Facility Policies and Procedures.
• Provide assistance to the physician(s) with both routine and emergency procedures.
• Document treatment provided and tests administered in appropriate formats on required forms on each visit to the facility.
• Ensure availability to staff by telephone, voice mail, e-mail, pager and intra-facility mail, as necessary.
