**Inpatient Psychiatric Medical Director Opportunity - Cooperstown, NY**
A progressive academic health system in central New York, and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist Medical Director to lead their psychiatric services team. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
**Position Details**
- Lead a diverse psychiatric team, including MDs, PMHNPs, and Therapists.
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership for a 14-bed acute Inpatient Psychiatry unit, consults to Med-Surg inpatients at affiliated hospitals, and consults to Emergency Departments.
- Collaborate with nurse leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality acute care, focusing on evidence-based practices, measurable outcomes, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
- Work with hospital leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and continual accreditation readiness.
- Supervise all inpatient physicians and advanced practice providers, ensuring a supportive educational environment for learners.
- Opportunity to incorporate telemedicine as a strategy in rural health and affiliation development.
- Call schedule: 1 in 5 weekdays or better and 1 weekend per month.
- Integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record system.
**Benefits Details**
- Salary Range: $301,751 - $330,000, based on qualifications, experience, and fair market evaluation.

**Positon Requirements**
